Ashburton Community Events
The Ashburton Elementary School (AES) PTA plans and organizes fun community-building events for families to enjoy throughout the year. There is something for everyone - whether you like to attend popular AES signature events and festivals, watch an outdoor movie with family, ice skate, shop for books, or play bingo with fellow TQ Stars. Please note that PTA events are not drop-off events.

Now an annual September tradition - a time for us to welcome new Ashburton families and reconnect with returning families. Bring a picnic blanket, order a pizza or pack a picnic dinner, or enjoy one of the food trucks on site with the whole family while watching a movie outside on the Ashburton field as voted on by Ashburton students.
Book Fairs, organized by the PTA twice a year for the entire school with proceeds for PTA general fundraising funds or to fund media center subscriptions. Book Fairs also give AES teachers the opportunity to purchase books for their classrooms at lower cost.
One of Ashburton’s signature events, Fall Festival is an outdoor evening of fall fun! Join us for carnival games, prizes and inflatables, a pumpkin patch, the ever-popular Haunted Corridor, food trucks and more!
SKATE NIGHT Enjoy a night of ice skating with our annual Ashburton ice skating event held at Cabin John Ice Rink!
BINGO NIGHT Calling all Bingo players! Join for a fun night of Bingo playing emceed by our own Principal Reese. Pizza can be ordered ahead of time or at the event.
INTERNATIONAL FASHION ASSEMBLY & INTERNATIONAL NIGHT A celebration of the many nationalities and cultures represented at Ashburton! Students present their international fashion at the International Performance and Fashion Walk Assembly during an in-school assembly.
Host your country’s table at International Night! Students and their families showcase food, music, traditional dress, and cultural knowledge at this popular event. A great opportunity to showcase the diverse backgrounds of the Ashburton community and to teach students about the many cultures represented in our school.
SPRING FLING Spring Fling is another popular AES signature event organized and planned by the PTA with carnival games, prizes, fun inflatables, and the teacher dunk tank!
